Buying a condo
What to review before you offer
What should I budget beyond the purchase price for a Dallas high-rise?
Monthly HOA dues are the main difference from a single-family purchase. Dues cover building staff, amenities, reserves and often some utilities; they vary widely by building age, services and unit size. Review the resale certificate, reserve study and recent assessments before you write an offer.
Should I buy a condo or a house in Dallas?
Choose a condo if you value walkability, security and low exterior maintenance and are comfortable with HOA dues and rules. Choose a house if you want land, parking flexibility and more control over renovations. Many of our clients own one of each at different stages of life.
Can I lease a high-rise condo in Dallas?
Yes. Many buildings allow leasing with minimum terms set by the association, and several towers have dedicated rental programs. Our leasing team represents tenants in high-rise rentals as well as homes.
How do we search for Dallas condos on the MLS?
Use the condominium filter in our MLS search, then narrow by neighborhood. Listing alerts can notify you when a unit in a specific building comes to market.
Can I rent out a Dallas high-rise condo I purchase?
Rental policies vary by building. Some associations allow long-term leasing with minimum terms, others restrict rentals entirely. We review the building's governing documents with every buyer before an offer.
